Armlock combinations covered this morning in the BJJ class at Haworth

A focused morning of training went down today at the Fusion Martial Arts Centre at Haworth, with both striking and grappling covered by the adults before opening our doors to the kids.

First up we had Emilia in for her Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) private, revisiting everything she’s learnt so far from the mount, side mount and guard positions. Next we had our pad session, a chance for our members to hit and hold pads for each other, whilst getting a good sweat on.

Back to BJJ in the next hour as our Gracie Jiu-Jitsu purple belt instuctor took the group through armlock combinations from side control, as well as a rather stomach churning chest compression technique (just ask Dariusz). Last but by no means least we had our little ones join us as we continued to progress them in both long-range strikes and mount escapes ahead of their November gradings.

Well done to all of those that attended including Emilia and Dariusz. Please remember to reserve October 30th in your calenders for our two hour “Halloween Spooktacular” fundraiser (10am-12pm) in aid of a local children’s centre. A link to our Just Giving page can be found here…

See you on the mat…
