Guillotine masterclass fills today’s busy morning BJJ session at The MAC

A sunny Sunday morning welcomed members to The MAC at Haworth today for our trio of classes which included Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Kids MMA.

We kicked it off with the pads session, an hour of punching, kicking, elbowing and kneeing the hold-moly out of our focus mits. The session also ended on a little stand-up sparring.

Next up was our BJJ session which was focused solely on catching the guillotine choke from the guard and side-mount positions. The session ended with fifteen minutes of rolling (grappling sparring).

Last up was the little ones and after a brief warm-up we focused on our basic striking combinations. The grappling part of the session looked at something new, the scissor sweep from the guard position. This session also ended with a little rolling.

A big well done to everyone who attended the centre today including Mark, Roxanne, Georgina, Jay, Heidi, Chris, Paul, Ed and Leoni.

A big shout out to our sponsors, The Fleece Inn as well.

See you next time on the mat…
