Leg drags and Christmas parties on the menu this morning at The MAC at Haworth

We returned with our full schedule of lessons this Sunday morning at The MAC at Haworth, with a pads session, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ no-gi) and Kids MMA the order of the day.

The morning began with an hour of punching, kicking, kneeing and occasionally elbowing the pads, giving our members a chance to work up a sweat whilst working on their striking skills. We even had a bit of time for sparring.

Next up we had our BJJ session, with the guys looking at leg drags for the first time. We focused not only on how to get into the position, but how to control it from there, making it an interesting check-point on the way to side mount.

Finally it was the turn of the kids, with our little ones getting a chance to work on strikes of their choice, as well as tackling the Grinch for the very first time (keeping it festive of course). The lesson ended with the giving of presents and crackers, something I hope will become a tradition.

A big well done to everyone who attended including Michelle, Adam and Cat.

Merry Christmas to all of our Sunday students, see you all in the new year…
