New Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu curriculum swings into action during tonight’s class at The MAC

It was an action packed, yet rain filled, Monday at The MAC at Haworth today with our usual mix of striking in the morning and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the evening.

The day began early with our morning group at 9.00am, who worked their way through four sets of ten on the Bulgarian bag before turning their attention to the focus pads for padwork. The session ended with a little stand-up sparring.

The evening program began with our Kids MMA class, giving the younger members a chance to work their way through a number of striking and grappling drills before playing some fun games to end on.

Finally it was our adults Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class and after tweaking a few things we launched The MAC’s curriculum for beginners. The class focused on a basic takedown from standing as well as escaping the mount position. A little rolling ended the session.

A big well done to everyone who attended the centre over the course of the day including Adam, Roxanne, Ewa, Tony, Andrea, Chris, Jay, Richard, Heidi and Ben.

A big shout out to our sponsors, The Fleece Inn as well.

See you next time on the mat…
