The leg drag position introduced to this mornings BJJ class at The MAC at Haworth
We had another fun-filled, snow covered morning today at The MAC at Haworth, with an hour of pads, an enlightening BJJ session and a Kids MMA class coming to the fore.
We started with an hour of pads (and stand-up sparring), with our members having the chance to punch, kick, knee and elbow the pads, before turning their attention to each other.
Next up was the BJJ class, with the group looking at the leg drag position, how to control our opponent from it and how to transition neatly either to side mount or (more importantly) the mount.
Lastly it was the turn of the kids, with the group looking to stay warm with a bunch of fun-filled games before blasting the pads for ten minutes. We revisited the push-pull battle before finishing with a little rolling (jiu-jitsu sparring).
A big well done to everyone who attended including Adam, Ewa, Roxy, Mark, Michelle, Chris, Robert, Charlie and Jessica.
See you next time on the mats…
